Broiler rations call for high energy density. Biscuit meal brings starch and vegetable fat in one ingredient; its metabolisable energy is close to or above maize, and its fat fraction can reduce the need for added oil. The sugar content supports intake and palatability.

Points of attention
- Energy density: 3,000-3,200 kcal/kg metabolisable energy; can replace part of the maize and oil in grower and finisher diets.
- Low crude fibre (1.2-2.8%): high digestibility, no bulk fibre load to manage for litter quality.
- The fat (10-12%) must be included in the total fat and oxidation plan of the ration; keep storage time short.
- Protein is low (8.8-9.9%); the amino acid balance is built with soybean meal and other protein sources.
- Check the analysis report for salt and cocoa in individual lots; the ration limit is set with the nutritionist.
